The Host
by T Akery April 3rd, 2013 | Movie Reviews, Romance
The Host is a sad movie whose trailer betrays the total sum of action in the entire movie. Is it an action movie? Nope. Is it a "save the human race" movie? Nope. Is it even a decent alien movie? Nope. The whole movie can be summed up as a romance movie. Yes, you read that right. It is a movie about romantic entanglements between four people. The familiar story of two children who stumble upon a house made of candy and subsequently kill the witch who lives there is the backstory for the film, the inciting incident that launches the two siblings on a lifelong career of tracking and killing witches.
