I was thinking about seeing this movie because I’m an animal lover, but people are animals too so I guess I can see it for them.

If you’ve exposed your children to old “The Muppet Show” reruns b/c you’re a super Muppet nerd, they’ll love it. Otherwise, I agree…leave the kids at home. As a super Muppet nerd, I plan to go back without my kids so I don’t miss a minute.

I agree wholeheartedly with this review. My husband and I took our 4 and 6 year old nephews to watch The Muppets. As they watch Sesame Street, we thought they’d at least recognize Kermit. Apparently, Kermit isn’t on SS anymore, as the 4 year old referred to him as “The Froggy”. The good news is that the boys were more than happy to eat popcorn and watch the movie, while the two adults had a good time appreciating cameos and laughing at Muppet humor.

I am with Mike. The premise was good, but the execution was abysmal. I did not want my 2 hours back, so there was some entertainment value. Wait for TV/streaming.
